v6.0

SNES version of the Tenchi RPG is very fun. Here is a guide for your problems. Its actually just a walkthru but a walkthru is the heart of every gude. You can use it in every way you want. You know copy it, destroy it, whatever, as long as you include a link to my site at the top of the walkthru.

RPG
You start in the Masaki household, with Tenchi, Ryoko, Ayeka, Mihoshi and Sasami chatting away to each other. Suddenly, several monsters burst in. After fighting them, Shitsuki (mistranslated in the SNES patch as Mizuki), a green-haired girl created by a mad scientist called Kusumi, comes in and attacks, joined by more of the monsters. You can either attack all of the monsters first, or hit her right away - either way, the combat ends.
However, once combat is over, after a short conversation, Shitsuki kidnaps Sasami. After another cut-scene, you find yourselves in the garden outside the Masaki home.
First, you should visit the carrot patch, where Ryo-Oh-Ki is cornered by some critters. Once they're dispatched, she joins you.
After that, visit Mihoshi's ship, where she is temporarily kidnapped until combat is over. At least Ryo-Oh-Ki can fill the fourth slot until combat is over. You should visit this place twice to get Yukinojo, Mihoshi's faithful robot, to join your party. He's slow and weak, but can pack quite a punch at higher levels.
Then visit the nearby waterfall, where Tenchi's grandfather is holding off several more critters. After the fight is over, he joins you. He's a handy guy to have around, as at higher levels he can do a lot of damage to boss creatures.
Wander through the garden several times around, visiting every location several times around, avoiding the spaceship on the right of the screen, until you all are at least levels 4 or 5, to make combat at the spaceship easier to deal with. Once you feel you're ready, head for the spaceship and either approach it from above in the map, which enables you to briefly encounter Shitsuki before she runs off, leaving you to face several guardian monsters, and recruiting Azaka and Kamidake, the log-like Guardians of Jurai at the end of that combat, or alternatively fight the guard robots outside (but you don't get Azaka and Kamidake, who happen to be excellent fighters). Getting the log-like guardians can be tricky - I think you have to use only the route leading to the ship's main entrance (above the ship) without using the alternate route at all (even if you don't enter) before they show up. By now, you should be able to "power-up" your characters, so you should have no trouble dealing a lot of damage to them.
Once aboard the spaceship, you see Sasami held prisoners by yet more robots. Dispatch them in order for her to join you. Sometimes she is found in the dungeon straight down from your starting point, instead. Like Ayeka, she's a good source of healing, and as Pretty Sammy she can defeat some of the most difficult opponents, although (as Sasami) at higher levels she can defeat some of the weaker enemies by just lobbing a frying pan, a knife, or even Ryo-Oh-Ki at them, dealing some heavy damage.
Head up and right to the storeroom, where Washu, the "greatest mind in the universe" (and a mad-scientist type, at that) joins you. She's perhaps the third most powerful character in the game, for in her nurse form she can heal herself by attacking enemies with a hypodermic and absorbing their energy. Not to mention those deadly Washu dolls gained as "fourth choice" skills, in both forms.
Right - wander through the spaceship, avoiding the room on the top left until at least one or two of you are about level 8 or so, as the encounter within can be deadly if your choice of four characters do not have more than 100 or so hit points. Once you're powerful enough, enter that room, where you meet Shitsuki again.
Shitsuki challenges Ryoko to a one-on-one combat. Make sure Ryoko is around level 8 by then. Once Ryoko wins, she will automatically pursue, leading to a confrontation with Kusumi, the lead villain of the game, who turns out to be an old associate of Washu's from her Academy days.
When you enter, you see Kusumi berating Shitsuki for failing to defeat Ryoko, and then proceeding to badly hurt her.

A new Tenchi series is being worked on as of now!!! And it has been confirmed that it will be the third OAV series (continuing the Tenchi Muyo! series). Masaki Kajishima, co-creator of Tenchi Muyo! will create and direct the third series that will continue with the story established from the first 13 episodes in the series. Ryoko and Ayeka MAY appear in the series but the focus of the series will be on Tenchi himself, his relationship to the "three goddesses" Washu, Tsunami and Tokimi and their conflict with the mysterious new character currently known only as "Z."
